Three held for fruit vendor’s murder in Hyderabad

The arrested were identified as Salam Bin Abdullah Basloom (23), Mohd Muzaffar Ali (19) and Tariq Ali (19)

Hyderabad: The Hussainialam police on Tuesday arrested three persons in connection with the murder of a fruit vendor at Shahalibanda. The arrested were identified as Salam Bin Abdullah Basloom (23), Mohd Muzaffar Ali (19) and Tariq Ali (19). The victim, Syed Zubair Ali (22), a fruit vendor was found murdered at a construction site on Saturday.

According to Dr Gajarao Bhupal, DCP (South) Abdullah was arrested by the Amberpet police a few months ago in connection with a property offence. He was later released and he believed that Zubair Ali had informed the police leading to his arrest.

“Zubair also wrote some derogatory comments against Abdullah on Facebook. He was annoyed over that as well. In the early hours of Saturday, on the pretext of a party, the suspects called Zubair Ali to a building which was under construction and stabbed him to death,” the DCP said. The police caught them on Tuesday. All of them were produced before the court and remanded in judicial custody.
