The Hussainialam police with assistance of Commissioner’s Task Force (south) team caught eight persons who were allegedly involved in satta betting and seized Rs. 76,150 from them.

A goldsmith who had allegedly stolen gold ornaments weighing around half-a-kilogram was arrested by Hussainialam police on Thursday.

A complaint was made against the Facebook account by AIMIM party workers on Tuesday, following which the police identified the person and detained him.

The arrested were identified as Salam Bin Abdullah Basloom (23), Mohd Muzaffar Ali (19) and Tariq Ali (19)

The arrested person was identified as Mohd Shafiuddin (38), a medical representative from Kishanbagh in Bahadurpura.

Police said Mohammed Adil Ali (22) along with his friend Mohammed Abdul Khusro (24), both friends and residents of the Hussainialam area, took a car into the premises of the mosque on Sunday and made videos, sitting atop the moving car.

According to the police, Naseerudin was earlier involved in extortion of ‘mamools’ from petty vendors and hawkers in and around Charminar
