Timor-Leste Ambassador visits NIMS, lauds NIMS facilities
Timor-Leste’s ambassador Karlito Nunes visited Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) in Hyderabad on Sunday, following an invitation from Nawab Mir Najaf Ali Khan, grandson of Nizam VII.

Hyderabad: The ambassador of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, Karlito Nunes visited Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) on Sunday and interacted with senior doctors and later visited state-of-the-art health care facilities.
Following an invitation from Nawab Mir Najaf Ali Khan, the grandson of Nizam VII, the ambassador of Timor-Leste also interacted with NIMS Director, Dr Nagari Bheerappa.
During the visit, the Ambassador met with Dr. Amaresh Rao, Head, Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery, and also visited the medical and educational facilities within the institution.
Ambassador Karlito Nunes appreciated the modern infrastructure, high-quality medical services, and the dedicated care provided to patients at NIMS. He praised NIMS for standing out as one of the premier tertiary healthcare institutions in the country, a press release said.
