Hyderabad: TRS has initiated measures to strengthen itself further at all levels in the State as well as in digital space. Besides constituting the party committee from village to State level, it will strengthen its social media wing further even in the district headquarters in order to not only publicise about the welfare and development programmes of the State government, but also to counter the ‘false propaganda’ of the Opposition parties effectively.
TRS President and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will inaugurate all the party offices in district headquarters over the next few months where 24 of 31 party offices are ready for inauguration. About 95 per cent of construction of the remaining seven district offices, have been completed.
The decisions were taken during the meeting of the party general secretaries chaired by TRS working president KT Rama Rao at Telangana Bhavan here on Wednesday. Speaking to mediapersons in this regard, TRS general secretary and Rythu Bandhu Samithi chairman Palla Rajeshwar Reddy said the TRS party membership has reached 61 lakhs which was highest among the regional parties in the country. Of this, digitisation of about 48 lakh members has been completed and the remaining work will be completed by July 20. The party leadership also decided to constitute committees from village level to the State level over next two months in order to ensure that the party remains closer to the activists.
The party general secretaries stated that the Chief Minister’s Dalit Empowerment scheme created lot of enthusiasm and boosted the morale of the Dalit youth in the State. Further, the State government has already filled 1.3 lakh vacant posts in the State and commenced efforts to fill another 50,000 jobs. The party appreciated Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for taking up the scheme.
Rajeshwar Reddy said the TRS will fight for the rightful share of Telangana State in the river waters. He stated that the Andhra Pradesh government was approaching the courts for share in river waters beyond its allocations and resorting to illegal constructions. “We will not sit quiet, if the AP government continues to construct illegal projects to steal river water,” he asserted.
