Hyderabad: Students who fail in the first year Intermediate Public Examinations (IPE) held in October this year will be allowed to appear for the exams in the failed subjects during the annual Intermediate examinations that will be conducted in April next year.
“Those candidates who fail in the first-year and students who want to improve their scores will be allowed to appear in the Intermediate Public Exams being planned in April,” a senior official of Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TS BIE) said.
The BIE, which conducted the first-year Intermediate exams for second-year students from October 25 to November 3, is planning to announce the results either by the end of this month or in the first week of December. The board has already completed spot evaluation works of the Intermediate first year answer scripts and is processing the results.
Meanwhile, the board is planning to conduct the annual Intermediate Public Examinations from the last week of April. Accordingly, the board is re-scheduling the timetable which will be announced soon after the State government accords approval. Earlier, the exams were to be held from March 23 to April 12.
As decided by the State government, only 70 per cent of the syllabus for both first and second-year Intermediate will be considered for the Intermediate Public Examinations for the academic year 2021-22. The syllabus was slashed by 30 per cent as there was disruption in physical classes due to the pandemic and could commence only from September instead of June.
