Twelve held for kidnap and assault of driver in Hyderabad
The gang confined the driver throughout the Monday night, assaulted him and threatened him with dire consequences.
Hyderabad: Twelve persons who allegedly kidnapped a driver and assaulted him were arrested by the Gandhinagar police with the assistance of the Hyderabad Task Force (South) on Tuesday night.
Those arrested were identified as Mohd Hussain alias Laddu (32), Mohd Naseeruddin (23), Mohd Masiuddin (23), Moiz Hussain (21), Afzal Hussain (51), Mohammed Shareef (32), Mohd Saddam Hussain (31), Mohd Habeeb (27), Shaik (20), Mohd Zubair (22), Mohd Hussain alias Sameer (21) and Mohd Minhaj Ali (20).
P Vishwa Prasad, DCP (Central) said the gang had kidnapped Ali Patel on Monday while he was on his way from Bholakpur to Balanagar. The gang confined him throughout the night, assaulted him and threatened him with dire consequences. “The gang wanted him to tell them the whereabouts of one Mohd Mahboob Ladhaf, who was involved in the murder of one Mehboob Hussain in Sangareddy in May 2019,” the DCP said.
