Nalgonda: To check traffic issues cropping up on account of cattle movement on roads, Nalgonda police took up a special drive and decided to file cases against those who allow their cattle to move freely on the roads.
Nalgonda Town-II police filed cases against Vallapu Sathaiah, a resident of Housing Board Colony and Dunna Sailulu, a resident of Gandhi Nagar in the town, for leaving their cattle on the roads. The police also shifted the cattle moving on the roads at Shivaji Nagar, Ramgiri and Savarkar Nagar to a goshala here.
Circle Inspector (Traffic) Anil Kumar said vehicle users were facing major problems due to movement of cattle on roads. The cattle also squat in the middle of the road leading to traffic jams besides causing accidents. Cases would be filed against the owners who leave their cattle on the roads, he cautioned, and urged owners to keep their cattle in sheds.
