Two siblings drown after slipping into water pool in Adilabad’s Mavala
Two siblings from Mavala in Adilabad district drowned after falling into a water pool while riding a bike for fun. The tragic incident occurred at Green City on Saturday. Police retrieved the bodies and sent them to RIMS-Adilabad.
Adilabad: Two siblings accidentally drowned in a water pool at Green City in Mavala mandal centre on Saturday.
Police said that Lanka Vidhata (9) and his sister Vinuthna (11), children of Swamy from Mavala, met a watery grave after slipping into the pool when they fell off a bike near its edge. The children were riding the bike for fun at the time of the incident.
Passersby who noticed the bodies alerted the police, who rushed to the spot and retrieved the bodies from the water.
The bodies were shifted to the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Adilabad. Further details are awaited.
