Unemployed youth to contest Jubilee Hills bypoll over job notification delay
A group of unemployed youth in Telangana has decided to contest the Jubilee Hills bypoll, citing frustration over the Congress government's delay in issuing job notifications. They have presented 30 demands, including recruitment drives and unemployment benefits.

Hyderabad: Vexed with the Telangana Congress government over non-release of job notifications, a large number of unemployed youth on Tuesday decided to file nominations for the Jubilee Hills bypoll.
The unemployed youth put forth 30 demands, including issuance of 5,944 GPO posts, 16,000 SI and police constable positions and 25,000 teacher vacancies via the DSC before announcement of the local body elections. They also called for the announcement of a job calendar with clear vacancies in all departments before local body polls.
Apart from revoking the retirement age enhancement to 61 years for government officials, the government job aspirants demanded the government abolish GO 29 used to select candidates in the Group – I services recruitment. They also demanded an unemployment allowance of Rs 5,016 to approximately 30 lakh unemployed who completed their degrees.
“Around 30 unemployed youth will be filing nominations on Tuesday. We will be also campaigning against the Congress government in the bypoll,” Bhukya Kumar Naik, vice chairman Telangana Unemployed Youth JAC.
