Bhonir: A group of unidentified persons attacked a gram panchayat secretary, Rajasekhar at Chada village in Motakondur mandal on Friday. He was on his way to the gram panchayat on a two-wheeler to attend to his duty when six unknown assailants stopped him on the way and attacked him with weapons. The gram panchayat secretary who suffered multiple injuries, was rushed to the government hospital in Bhongir. Rajasekhar belonged to Sharajipet in Alair mandal. Police, who received a complaint from the victim’s relatives started an investigation into the incident.
