Ushalakshmi Breast Cancer Foundation achieves Guinness Record for conducting ‘Largest Breast Cancer Awareness Lesson’
A record 5,020 women from across India and abroad attended the lesson on breast cancer delivered by founder, Ushalakshmi Breast Cancer Foundation, Dr P Raghu Ram
Hyderabad: Ushalakshmi Breast Cancer Foundation and Kims-Ushalakshmi Centre for Breast Diseases have achieved the Guinness World Record for conducting the ‘Largest Breast Cancer Awareness Lesson’, on Saturday at Brahma Kumaris headquarters Shantivan near Mount Abu.
A record 5,020 women from across India and abroad attended the lesson on breast cancer delivered by founder, Ushalakshmi Breast Cancer Foundation, Dr P Raghu Ram.
Presenting the Guinness World Record (GWR), Rishi Nath, the adjudicator for record event complimented Dr Raghu Ram for his lucid presentation keeping 5020 women in attention for over 40 minutes.
Dr Raghu Ram’s presentation was also premiered on Brahma Kumaris YouTube channel at the same time. The YouTube presentation (“Most views for a Breast Cancer awareness lesson on YouTube in 24 hours”) is another Guinness World Record attempt by Dr Raghu Ram, the result of which would be known in a few days time, a press release said.
Dr Raghu Ram said “I dedicate this recognition to my mother, Dr Ushalakshmi, a breast cancer conqueror who left this world 5 months ago. She was the major inspiration behind this innovative and impactful Breast Cancer advocacy campaign at Brahma Kumaris”.
Dr BK Mrutynjaya Bhai, the Executive Secretary of Brahma Kumaris world headquarters, members of Brahma Kumaris and others were present.
