To kick off International Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Ushalakshmi Breast Cancer Foundation illuminated several Hyderabad landmarks in pink, continuing its 17-year tradition. The initiative aims to promote early detection and honour survivors.
A record 5,020 women from across India and abroad attended the lesson on breast cancer delivered by founder, Ushalakshmi Breast Cancer Foundation, Dr P Raghu Ram
The endeavor by the Foundation aims to create awareness about importance of early detection, and equally, spread the message of hope, courage and determination in the fight against the most common cancer affecting women in India.
Dr Ushalakshmi graduated and obtained her PG from Guntur Medical College and was Professor, Obstetrics and Gynecology at Niloufer Hospital for a long time
