Hyderabad: Vedic scholars predicted a rise in continued administrative failures leading to growing public dissatisfaction and strengthening of the opposition during the Telugu new year of Sri Parabhava. Renowned vedic scholars Mruthyunjaya Sharma and Phanindra Sharma presented the Telugu almanac and shared their predictions for the year during the Ugadi Panchanga Sravanam held at the BRS headquarters in Telangana Bhavan.
BRS working president KT Rama Rao, party MLAs, MLCs, MPs and senior leaders, participated in the Panchanga Sravanam and performed traditional rituals and puja.
During the event, the scholars said that if the government fails to address public grievances and administrative shortcomings persist, dissatisfaction among people would increase, creating conditions for the opposition to emerge as a strong alternative. They said unresolved public issues may gradually erode confidence in the ruling establishment.
The scholars also expressed concern over changes in the education system, warning that lack of proper policy direction could harm students and push youth towards uncertainty, potentially increasing unemployment if corrective steps are not taken.
Predictions for the agricultural sector indicated favourable rainfall, improvement in water storage in tanks and reservoirs, and good yields of major crops including paddy, cotton and maize. They said farmer suicides might decline, though prices of gold, silver and food grains could rise, while vegetable prices may remain moderate.
The scholars cautioned about the possibility of fire accidents, road mishaps and theft cases increasing, but noted that the livestock sector could see growth. They also predicted better living standards, and greater opportunities for women in leadership roles.
On national matters, they said India would continue to gain respect globally and remain strong in commerce and strategic affairs, though some tensions with neighbouring countries could arise. They said Indian armed forces would be capable of countering external conspiracies.
