Minister appreciates services of ASHA workers; appeals to public to follow Covid norms
Nizamabad: The Medical and Health department officials will continue the door-to-door fever survey and provide medicine kits to those suffering from fever and their family members, said Roads and Buildings Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy.
On Saturday, the Minister inspected conduct of the survey being held at Balkonda, Mupkal, Mendora and Yergatla mandals, where he interacted with local residents and ASHA workers, as well as reviewed the survey conduct and lockdown enforcement in the district.
Speaking on the occasion, Reddy said the medical and health staff should conduct household survey till the Covid-19 pandemic is brought under control, besides providing the Covid-19 medicines kits to the patients. He appreciated the services of ASHA workers and appealed to police department as well as elected representatives to cooperate with the ASHA workers to make the survey a success.
The Minister also conducted a field visit in Balkonda mandal headquarters. The locals informed that the ASHA workers had visited their house twice, noted details and also provided medicines. He expressed happiness over the public response and urged people to strictly follow the Covid-19 norms during the lockdown and cooperate with the authorities to prevent the pandemic. Later, he met the officials to conduct the fever survey in a smooth manner as well as implement the lockdown strictly.
Reddy also took stock of the Covid situation and conduct of the fever survey in Kisan Nagar, Mupkal mandal headquarters, Savel and Velkaturu villages in Mendora mandal, Gummiryal village of Ergatla mandal. The officials of Medical and Health, Police, Revenue, and Panchayat Raj departments along with local elected representatives accompanied the Minister.
