Warangal: Prof M Rajeshwar takes charge as HoD of English at KU
This is the second time he has been appointed Head of the Department of English. He also currently holds the position of Coordinating Officer of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Unit of KU.

Warangal Urban: Dr Mittapalli Rajeshwar, Professor of English and Member of the Executive Council, assumed charge as Head, Department of English, Kakatiya University (KU), Warangal, on Tuesday. This is the second time he has been appointed Head of the Department of English. He also currently holds the position of Coordinating Officer of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Unit of KU.
Prof Rajeshwar, who hails from Lakshmipur village of Karimnagar district, is a well known scholar with four acclaimed works of criticism and 85 articles to his credit. A number of his articles have appeared in SCOPUS and UGC-CARE journals and have also often been anthologised. During his career, spanning three decades, he travelled to many countries, including the UK, USA, Australia, Italy, Spain, Finland, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Eritrea and Saudi Arabia and gave plenary speeches, keynote addresses and paper presentations at conferences apart from offering courses at universities in Finland, Eritrea and Saudi Arabia. Faculty, research scholars and students of the Department of English congratulated Prof Rajeshwar on his appointment and wished him all the best.

Prof Rajeshwar attended the WEI International Academic Conference on Education, Teaching, and Learning in 2019 at Harvard Faculty Club, Harvard University, Boston, USA, and gave a paper entitled “English as a Catalyst for Development: The Socioeconomic Context of India.” His latest book titled Indian Fiction and Films: Rethinking History, Society and Culture, was published Jan 1, 2021. Retired Professor of English Dr Vooradi Srinivas, Ph.D scholar Pandilla Laxma Reddy were among those who greeted Prof Rajeshwar.
