Watch: 504 rescued, including 350 students, from flooded areas in Kamareddy and Medak
Over 500 people, including 430 students, were rescued from flooded zones in Kamareddy and Medak districts by the Telangana State Disaster Response Force and fire services on Wednesday. Notable rescues took place at the SC Women’s Degree College hostel in Medak and the SC & ST Welfare Hostel in Ramayampet.

Hyderabad: The Telangana State Disaster Response Force and the fire department rescued 504 persons who were stranded in flooded areas of Kamareddy and Medak districts on Wednesday. Among those rescued were 350 students staying at the SC Women’s Degree College student hostel at Medak and 80 students staying at SC & ST welfare hostel in Ramayampet town.
According to fire officials, nine people who were stranded in Kalyan Project Back Water at Annasagar village, Yellareddypet mandal of Kamareddy district were rescued by the State Disaster Response Force, while the Bhanswada Fire Station crew rescued five persons at Gunkul village, Mohammednagar mandal of Kamareddy district. Another 50 persons were rescued in GR Colony in Kamareddy district by Kamareddy fire station crew.
The personnel of fire station Ramayanpet in Medak district rescued 10 persons from the BC colony in Ramayampet town.
