Wife kills husband in Mahabubnagar; illicit relationship suspected

MAHABUBNAGAR: A wife attacked her husband with a knife at Basvaipally village in Devarkadra on Sunday and he died while undergoing treatment at Osmania Genreal Hospital on Monday. The police have taken the accused into custody and investigation is under progress.
Nagesh (38), a resident of Basvaipally was married to Kavitha, a native of Malkapur village and they had three children. On Sunday, while Nagesh was sleeping in the house, Kavitha suddenly attacked him with a knife. The youngest son woke up and screamed for help. Hearing his screams, neighbours rushed into Nagesh’s home, only to find him in a pool of blood. They immediately shifted him to a hospital in Devarkadra, according to reports.
As his condition deteriorated, he was shifted to Osmania General Hospital and succumbed while undergoing treatment. Police suspect extra marital affair could have been the motive behind the crime, reports said.
