Will build 1,000 houses in every constituency: Harish Rao
Minister was speaking after laying the foundation stone for construction of 100 double bedroom houses at Tirumalpur on the outskirts of Shankarampet (A) Mandal
Medak: Finance Minister T Harish Rao said on Wednesday that the State government was keen on constructing 1,000 double-bedroom houses in every Assembly constituency in the State but they could not implement the project with the same intensity since the State’s revenue generation was short by Rs 40,000 crore during the financial year due to Covid-19.

The Minister was speaking after laying the foundation stone for construction of 100 double bedroom houses at Tirumalpur on the outskirts of Shankarampet (A) Mandal in Medak district.
Saying that they will allot these 100 houses to homeless and also residing in rented houses in Shankarampet (A) Mandal, Rao has assured to complete the works in a short time.
Elaborating various works taken up by the TRS government, the Minister has said that they will soon irrigate water by digging canals from Mallanna Sagar under Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme (KLIS). Saying that they farmers here were getting less profits by cultivating rain-fed crops, Rao has said that Godavari water will change their lives forever. With an attempt to help the farmers to store their grains, Rao has said that they were going to build godowns for storing 20,000 to 30,000 metric tonnes.
The Minister has said that they would also grant over 6 crore to lay roads from Alladurg to Shankarampet with an objective to improve the transportation.
