Along with token, indelible ink being applied to farmers
Meanwhile, farmers are surprised after officials are applying indelible ink on their thumbs as a mark to ensure there was no repetition in the queue at the PACS.
Generally, officials issue tokens to farmers and ask them to turn up at stipulated time at the PACS to obtain urea bags. However, after noticing that a few people are turning up for the second time in the queue for obtaining tokens, officials are applying indelible ink on their thumbs, the reports said.
Now, urea bags are being offered to farmers, who have tokens and indelible ink on their thumbs. Farmers are surprised over the officials’ decision to apply the ink as done for voters during elections.
