Woman sets herself ablaze in Hyderabad over marital issues
Satyavathi alleged that Sangeetha was maintaining illegal relationship with her husband due to which he was not taking care of the family
Hyderabad: A housewife died by suicide by setting herself ablaze at her house in Mangalhat due to suspicion that her husband was maintaining an illegal relationship with a woman.
According to the police, the victim, V Satyavathi (38), a resident of Mangalhat was married to Gouri Shankar, 23 years ago and the couple have two daughters. On March 3 morning, the woman doused herself with fuel in the house and set herself blaze. The woman was rushed to hospital and admitted for treatment. On Sunday early hours, she died at the hospital.
In her statement given to the police, Satyavathi blamed a woman Sangeetha for forcing her to end her life. She alleged that Sangeetha was maintaining illegal relationship with her husband due to which he was not taking care of the family. The police registered a case and are investigating.
