Knowing too much of your future is never a good thing” is a line from Rick Riordan’s book The Lightning Thief. But according to our students, there’s nothing wrong in predicting how good it’s going to be. The class IV students have created their vision of the yet-to-come year 2050.
They have given it a lot of thought and placed their hopes and dreams of the unpredictable future. When asked about the role of electronic gadgets, they said, everyone will hold a laptop and children will simply print their homework.
The gadgets will become so prevalent and sophisticated that we will be able to touch and feel people on the other side. Electronic buses, cars and planes will become commonplace in every city and the concept of villages becomes non-existent.
The children also dreamed of a clear and green landscape, free from pollution and no scarcity of natural resources as they predict that humans will become more responsible.
They wrote their vision of underwater vacation spots, Mars and space travel in their private jets and houses that could travel to the mountains. The tourism industry will flourish as virtual tourism will become a fad with the advancement of technology.
Some of them predicted economic, population and pollution boom along with depletion of resources but who’s seen the future yet. “Things have a way of working themselves out if we just remain positive.” With their wonderfully optimistic imagination, class IV children envisioned a technologically advanced world that will cater to the needs and requirements of an equally advanced future generation of scientists, doctors, engineers and space travellers! So, strap your seat belts and get ready for a whirlwind ride into the future skies!
