Young couple dies by suicide over marriage fears in Telangana’s Siddipet
A young couple, Myadnagari Sravan (26) and Navya (19), died by suicide in Siddipet rural mandal, allegedly due to family opposition to their marriage. Police have registered a case and sent the bodies for postmortem examination
Siddipet: A young couple died by suicide on the outskirts of Pedda Lingareddypally in Siddipet rural mandal on Monday. They were identified as Myadnagari Sravan (26), a resident of Narayanraopet, and Navya (19), a resident of Pedda Kodur in Chinna Kodur mandal.
While Sravan was operating a JCB to earn a livelihood after discontinuing his studies, Navya was a degree first-year student at a college in Siddipet. Fearing opposition from elders to their marriage, the couple reportedly ended their lives by hanging.
Police registered a case and initiated an investigation. The bodies were shifted to the government hospital in Siddipet for postmortem examination.
