ZAP-X Gyroscope Radiosurgery platform acquired by AIG Hospitals
AIG Hospitals has acquired the ZAP-X Gyroscopic Radiosurgery Platform to offer non-invasive, daycare-based treatment for brain tumors and other intracranial conditions. The technology eliminates the need for hospitalization or recovery time, bringing advanced neurosurgical care within easier reach of Indian patients.

Hyderabad: AIG Hospitals announced it has acquired the ZAP-X Gyroscopic Radiosurgery Platform, a non- invasive technology for treating brain tumors and other intracranial conditions. Patients needing such interventions, can walk in receive treatment in a daycare setup, and walk out, with no pain, no hospitalization, and no recovery time, a press release said.
Dr. D Nageshwar Reddy, Chairman, AIG Hospitals said “With ZAP-X, AIG Hospitals aims to democratize access to this advanced therapy, reducing the need for patients to travel abroad for world-class neurosurgical care.”
The platform allows for non-invasive immobilization, repeat treatments, and real- time dose monitoring, enhancing both patient comfort and treatment safety, said Dr. Subodh Raju, Head, Neurosurgery, AIG Hospitals.
