Hyderabad: A major fire erupted at a plastic recycling unit in Budwel in Rajendranagar on the city outskirts on Tuesday morning.

Thick plumes of smoke billowing from the facility indicated the intensity of the blaze, triggering panic in the surrounding areas.


Fire and emergency services rushed to the spot soon after receiving the alert and are actively engaged in firefighting operations.

Fire personnel are making efforts to enter the premises and bring the flames under control.

No casualties were reported so far.

The cause of the fire and the extent of damage are yet to be ascertained.
