A child can always teach an adult three things: to be happy for no reason, to always be busy with something, and to know how to demand with all his might that which he desires. — Paulo Coelho
Children’s Day is celebrated all over the world on 20th November in recognition of Child’s right by the UN. In India, it is celebrated on November 14 as a mark of respect to first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, fondly called by children ‘Chacha.’
Every child is a different kind of flower and all together make this world a beautiful garden and this is what our Principal Sunir Nagi and teachers of our school believe.
Like every year, Children’s Day was celebrated at PMS Alwal with great pomp and show this year but on a virtual platform. The show began with a prayer, thought, word and news.
Teachers rocked with their performance in various spectacular dances and enchanting melodious songs and the students took part in Antakshari. There were many quizzes, puzzles and Tete-a-tete was the highlight of the programme as there were many topics discussed on the screen.
There were smiles and laughter on every student’s face and their thoughts filled up the chatbox with messages like “To the world, you may be a teacher. But to your students, you are the Hero”. Truly, this Children’s Day will be remembered and cherish for a long time by students and teachers alike.
