Adilabad: The body of the youngster who drowned while crossing a stream at Pochera waterfalls on Sunday was fished out on Tuesday. Gurle Harish (24), a native of Karanji village in Jainath mandal, was working at a shopping mall in Adilabad district headquarters.
Boath Inspector M Nylu and Sub-Inspector K Arun said that the body was floated at a whirlpool in the waterfalls at around 9 am. He stated that 20 expert divers were pressed into action for tracing the body on Monday. The divers spotted the body in a decomposed state and brought it out.
On a fateful day, Harish and his friend were trapped in the swirling waters of the stream as they tried to cross it after partying at the famed natural wonder. While his friend was rescued by some locals who were present at the spot, Harish has washed away in the stream which was swollen by floods. It was the first death reported at the waterfalls this year
