Collector Sikta Patnaik inspects a classroom of KGBV in Adilabad on Friday
Adilabad: Collector Sikta Patnaik has asserted that all arrangements were in place for reopening of schools from February 1 as per instructions of the government. She inspected a Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya here on Saturday.
Sikta said that required infrastructure was created for resuming the schools as per guidelines of the government. She stated that students were asked to practice physical distance and Sodium hypochlorite solution was sprayed in all the institutions. She informed that provisions were supplied to implement the mid-day meal scheme and unused groceries were discorded.
The IAS officer stated that about 24,000 students would attend classes in Adilabad district once the schools were reopened. She said that medical services would be offered to the wards of government-run hostels by the medical and health department by coordinating with the education department. A committee reviewed the arrangements for reopening the schools, she stated. The Collector checked classrooms, computer lab, dining room, store room. She verified whether the hand-held thermal screening device was working. She was provided hand sanitisers by the staff of the school. She expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made by authorities the institution
