Khammam: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka advised the government employees to introspect every day before going to sleep on how they delivered their duties during the day.
The salaries paid to employees come from the taxes earned through the hard work of the people; therefore everyone must be accountable to the public. Every employee must strictly adhere to the protocol of their respective department on how duties should be performed.
Negligence by officials and staff would not be tolerated under any circumstances as the State government has entered its third year, Vikramarka warned while addressing employees during a review meeting here on Wednesday.
To create valuable human resources, the government is making large-scale investments in the education sector. The district Collector as well as all officials must monitor educational institutions and upload details online.
If any untoward incident occurs in government or private educational institutions, the concerned in-charge officer would be held responsible. The practice of enrolling students in private institutions like stocking goods in warehouses is not good, the Deputy Chief Minister said.
He told the officials to prepare a checklist of mandatory qualifications and facilities for private institutions. Permissions should be granted only if all requirements are met. Institutions lacking facilities should be told to upgrade so that they are ready by the next academic year.
District Collector Anudeep Durishetty informed that Khammam district ranks first in the State in recording teacher and student attendance through the Facial Recognition System (FRS). The district achieved 100 percent results in updating school details in the Unified District Information System for Education (UDISE).
