Hyderabad: The BRS Legislature Party on Wednesday moved an adjournment motion in the Assembly seeking a discussion on public concerns over the availability of petrol, diesel, LPG and urea in the wake of tensions involving the United States, Israel and Iran.
The BRS demanded that both the Central and the State governments stop blaming each other and announce a concrete action plan to address the situation.
Speaking at the Assembly mediapoint, BRS whip and Quthbullapur MLA KP Vivekananda said people were facing difficulties due to inadequate supply of fuel and cooking gas. He stated that neither the Centre nor the State government was giving clear assurances on maintaining sufficient stocks.
He said proper planning could have prevented the situation. He noted that farmers recently struggled due to shortage of urea and now fuel scarcity was creating fresh problems for the public.
He criticised the State government for failing to coordinate with the Centre on maintaining reserves and cautioned that daily life would be severely affected if adequate petrol, diesel and gas supplies were not ensured.
