BRS slams Congress govt after HC cancels Group-1 Mains results

Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court’s decision to cancel the Group-1 Mains results, citing discrepancies, has triggered sharp criticism from BRS. The party accused the Congress government of trying to bury the crime, instead of ensuring justice for aspirants.

BRS spokesperson Manne Krishank said the court’s verdict vindicated unemployed youth who fought relentlessly for justice. “When the TSPSC paper leak happened under BRS, our government itself filed a case. But in this exam, the Congress defended malpractice, lathi-charged and arrested aspirants. Justice prevailed through the court,” he stated.

Speaking separately at Telangana Bhavan, BRSV State president Gellu Srinivas Yadav reminded that the Congress regime scrapped the previous BRS government’s GO on Group-1 reservations, failed to implement the job calendar, and betrayed the unemployed with false promises. “The exam must be cancelled and re-conducted. Vacancies should be identified and notified at once. Revanth Reddy should apologise to the youth,” he demanded.

BRS leader Chirumalla Rakesh Kumar recalled that as the then Congress floor leader during the BRS regime, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka demanded a 1:100 ratio in candidate selection for Mains. However, he said, after the Congress government came to power, it followed only a 1:50 ratio. “The government violated reservation norms in candidate selection. Over 3,000 undeserving candidates got backdoor opportunities,” he said.
