Hyderabad: Nizamabad MP Arvind Dharmapuri found himself in the eye of the storm over the Centre’s refusal to establish the turmeric board in Nizamabad, with scores of farmers and other citizens demanding his resignation.
Netizens took to social media to slam the MP with ‘CheaterArvind’ trending on Twitter with more than 11,000 tweets on Tuesday.
Incensed by the Centre’s response followed by Arvind’s justification that the regional office of the Spices Board in Nizamabad is more than enough for turmeric farmers, several netizens took to Twitter accusing him of cheating farmers and sought to know when he would submit his resignation.
“BJP MP gave promise on bond paper to bring turmeric board and BJP party denied its own MP’s words. Great MPs, Great party,” went one tweet.
“Certificate fake, bonds fake. His promises are as hollow as his brains,” tweeted Sripaad125.
“Better to stop faking now. You promised in writing on bond paper to resign within five days.
Lets discuss on your failure and resign,” this one from Ramakrishna Naredla.
Rajesh Jadi, another twiterrati, preferred just a “Shame on you, Aravind.”
