Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao paid rich tributes to Jnanapeeth awardee and literary giant Dr C Narayan Reddy (Cingireddy Narayan Reddy also known as Cinare) on his death anniversary here on Saturday. He credited Dr Narayan Reddy with spreading the Telangana literary fragrance all over the world and putting Telugu poetry on a top pedestal.
In a statement, the Chief Minister described Dr Narayan Reddy as a pioneer who excelled as a poet, writer, researcher, educationist, film lyricist and who in his inimitable style used Telangana idiom and continued his literary pursuits with creative power. He also hailed Cinare as the one who got Jnanapeeth award to the Telangana society.
He observed that Cinare understood the human-nature philosophy threadbare and has become a symbol for the Ganga Jamuna Tehjeeb with his innovative creation of Telugu Ghazals with a fusion of Telugu and Deccani Urdu. The efforts put in by Cinare to put Telugu and Telangana on the World literary Map is eternal. As long as language and literature exist, Cinare will continue to live, Chandrashekhar Rao said.
