Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU), along with the Law and Order wing and the Special Operations Team, conducted a coordination and awareness meeting with spa centre owners on Friday.
The session, led by Madhapur DCP Vineeth, focused on legal compliance, vigilance against human trafficking, and the importance of industry cooperation in upholding public safety and protecting the city’s reputation.
Guidelines for Spa Centres:

Spa and massage centres in Hyderabad must operate only between 9 am and 9 pm.
- The premises must not be used for residential purposes or be connected to any residential area.
- Masseurs/masseuses must hold valid qualifications in physiotherapy, acupressure, or occupational therapy.
- Employee details, including housekeeping staff, must be recorded and maintained in a register.
- Centres must comply with all applicable laws, including the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act.
- Information such as the license holder’s name, manager, employee details, working hours, types of massages/services offered, and fees must be clearly displayed.
- CCTV cameras with recording must be installed at the entrance, reception, and common areas.
- Video recordings must be preserved for a minimum of three months.
