Delhi Public School, Nacharam took language learning into the modern era by organising an online assembly on September 22. The secondary school conducted the event, which was titled “Eclat”.
The Master of Ceremonies, Sanchit, and Sreeram started the programme with a soulful prayer and the customary lighting of the lamp. Principal, Sunitha Rao, and vice-principal, Surekha Nayani then addressed the gathering highlighting the significance of learning a delightful language like French through motivation and facts.
The students of grade IX and X showcased the correct intonation and pronunciation of simple French phrases along with their meanings and usage. This was followed by a motivational song that uplifted the spirits of the spectators. A poetry recitation was emphasised on mother Earth.
The most creative display of the event was a virtual tour of Paris. Students elaborately explained the different tourist locations in Paris, a destination to visit at least once in a lifetime. Next, was the culinary arts exhibit showcasing many delicacies including the recipe of “La Mousse au Chocolat”. The vote of thanks was given in both French and English by Varick and Cassandra, students of class X.
