Elaborate arrangements made for Ganesh Immersion in Nalgonda

Nalgonda: Arrangements are in place for the smooth and peaceful conduct of the Ganesh immersion procession scheduled for Friday across the district, according to Superintendent of Police Sharat Chandra Pawar. Around 950 police personnel will be deployed as part of the security measures.
The deployment includes an SP, ASP, Additional SP, five DSPs, 23 CIs, 60 SIs and over 850 ASIs, constables, women constables, home guards, bomb squads, dog squads, AR personnel and special party units.
Pawar said strict action will be taken against those violating regulations during the procession. A total of 5,984 idols were installed across the district for the festival. Idols up to 9 feet in height will be immersed at Vallabha Rao Cheruvu in Nalgonda town, while idols above 9 feet will be immersed at the 14th Milestone (Ali Nagar).
Arrangements, including police pickets, floodlights, cranes and the presence of expert swimmers, have been made at immersion sites such as Vallabha Rao Cheruvu, Musi River, 14th Milestone, Vadapalli, Nagarjunasagar, Dayyalagandi, Adavidevulapalli, Kondabimanapalli and Dindi.
CCTV surveillance for enhanced security
The procession will be monitored through about 1,500 CCTV cameras installed across the district, connected to the District Police Office Command Control Centre for round-the-clock surveillance. This includes community CCTV cameras on major roads and colonies, as well as additional cameras set up for the event.
Major towns like Nalgonda, Miryalaguda and Devarakonda will remain under strict watch. Traffic diversions have also been planned in Nalgonda town to avoid disruptions during the procession.
