The south director gets talking about his debut Hindi movie, 'Durgamati', a remake of his superhit horror thriller 'Bhaagamathie'

As the 'Thalaiva' star turned 70 on Saturday, fans gathered outside his residence at Poes Garden in Chennai, to catch a glimpse of the star and wish him personally on his special day.

The film is inspired by the true story of Syed Abdul Rahim, who was a football coach and manager of the Indian national team from 1950 till his death in 1963.

The film is the remake of the 1995 hit of the same name. It features Govinda and Karisma Kapoor.

Both actors are allergic to farm animals and the film is set on a farm in Ireland. The two stars had to have a lot of "antihistamines" to avoid falling sick during shooting, reports aceshowbiz.com.

This dialogue shows that the protagonist of Thimmarusu will go to any extent for what he believes in.

"It's like a dream come true to be a part of such a big and much-awaited film. I am so excited to share the screen with Ajay sir and Amitabh sir and icing on the cake is Ajay sir is directing the film," said Aakanksha.
