Mancherial: The outskirts of Mancherial town and stretches along the national highways are increasingly dotted with modern farmhouses that have turned into hubs of celebrations and social gatherings.
VM Capital Farm, located on the edges of Doragaripalli in Naspur mandal, has been hosting a wide range of events, surprising locals. The trend of organising functions and get-togethers in farmhouses is fast catching up in the district, which is predominantly rural.
These luxurious properties, situated on the peripheries of the town and along NH 363, have become the preferred venues for alumni reunions, corporate parties, family get-togethers, naming and cradle ceremonies, birthdays and wedding anniversaries.
“The farmhouses, equipped with air-conditioned rooms, music systems, swimming pools, dining halls, dormitories, children’s play areas, barbeque stands, cradles, cricket boxes, amphitheatres and kitchens, are attracting people, especially youngsters. Prices for hiring a farmhouse are affordable. Above all, the ambience, privacy and serenity offered here are matchless,” said Vaseem Mohiuddin, a farmhouse owner.
Operators said revellers were enjoying fun-filled celebrations while savouring food in these venues. Many were choosing farmhouses to escape the hustle and bustle of town life, spending at least a day indulging in swimming, cooking, resting, drinking, playing cricket, indoor games, dancing, watching movies and even trying their hand at farming.
The charges depend on the number of participants. On average, a farmhouse can be hired for Rs.8,000 to Rs.15,000 per day, with accommodation for at least 10 people for 24 hours. Costs rise if the number of guests increases.
“We stayed at a farmhouse abutting NH 363 near Mandamarri to celebrate the birthday of my friend’s daughter recently. We loved the ambience and amenities. The experience was far more memorable than celebrations at a luxury hotel,” said M Ravi Kumar, a government employee.
