First Indian-origin AMA President honoured at Indo–US Healthcare Leadership meet in Hyderabad
Hyderabad witnessed a landmark Indo–US healthcare meet as the leadership of the American Medical Association (AMA), led by President Dr Bobby Mukkamala, interacted with Indian physician leaders. The evening honoured Dr Mukkamala, the first Asian-American and first Indian-origin President in the AMA’s 180-year history.
Hyderabad: Hyderabad hosted a historic Indo–US healthcare meet as the entire leadership of the American Medical Association (AMA) led by AMA President Dr Bobby Mukkamala came together for an interaction with the Indian physician leaders.
IMA National President Dr Dilip Bhanushali, AHPI Director General Dr Giridhar Gyani, US Consul General Ms Laura Williams, and Telangana State President of the Medical Association President Dr Kishan Porandla, were among the audience of over 300 leading physician leaders from Hyderabad, Telangana, and across the country.
The evening was held in honour of Dr. Bobby Mukkamala, President of the American Medical Association, who is the first Asian-American President in the 180-year-old history of the AMA, as well as the first of Indian-origin.
