Virtual Sensory Week organized for DPS Nadergul kids.
Delhi Public School, Nadergul organized a Sensory Week event virtually. The purpose of sensorial activities is to help children learn and understand the uses of the senses. The sensorial week focuses on activities that help develop the five senses: seeing, hearing, touching, tasting, and smelling, the school said.
In the first activity, children differentiated objects by colour, shape and size through visual senses. Using the sense of taste, children enjoyed identifying the different tastes such as sweet, salty, sour, and bitter
It was interesting to see the children blindfolded and sorting objects based on the sense of the smell – good and bad and trying to identify the substance or articles. By feeling objects, they could differentiate soft, hard, rough, or smooth. Different sounds of animals were recognized when played. They also learned that different materials have different sounds when hit against. The children thoroughly enjoyed the week full of activities and the learning in a play-way method.
