GHMC trifurcation: Standing Committee allots Rs 500 crore to MMC and CMC
The first standing committee meeting following the trifurcation of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) was chaired by Special Officer Jayesh Ranjan with commissioners of the newly formed Cyberabad, Malkajgiri and Greater Hyderabad Corporations.

Hyderabad: The first standing committee meeting after trifurcation of the GHMC was held here by the Special Officer, Jayesh Ranjan with commissioners of the three newly carved out municipal corporations.
Proposals including the constitution of Cyberabad, Malkajgiri and Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporations, continuation of Shamshabad, Rajendranagar, Charminar, Golconda, Khairatabad and Secunderabad zones under GHMC, allocation of staff to Cyberabad and Malkajgiri Corporations, and budgetary allocation of Rs 500 crore each to the two new corporations, were approved.
GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan made a PowerPoint presentation on sanitation, solid waste management, alternative proposals for dumping yards, waterlogging mitigation, infrastructure development, among other issues.
At the Standing Committee meeting for the Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation (MMC) at HMDA premises, Tarnaka, he along with MMC Commissioner T. Vinay Krishna Reddy, reviewed sanitation, engineering and other civic administration matters.
For Cyberabad Municipal Corporation, the Telangana State Chief Secretary, K. Ramakrishna Rao, and Jayesh Ranjan attended the meeting along with Cyberabad Municipal Corporation Commissioner G. Srujana in the NAC campus building, Madhapur, and reviewed cleanliness, engineering, and other civic services within the corporation’s jurisdiction with the relevant officials.
