Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Cyber Crime Police have booked a case against a Habsiguda-based company, First Force Technologies, on charges of cheating Tina Hansen of Baseline Solutions, a Denmark-based company, on the pretext of developing a mobile and web application.
In the complaint lodged with the Cybercrime police, Radhika Palla, a city-based advocate nominated as the General Power Attorney for Hansen, said Hansen and Krishna Kishore Vadde, Operational Manager of First Force Technologies, had entered into an agreement in May 2019, as part of which Kishore Vadde’s firm was supposed to develop an application for manage offers to users and provide a comprehensive shopping experience to customers of Hansen’s company. The total cost of the application was put at 23,600$. Both Kishore Vadde and Sharat Bhattiprolu of the same firm, promised Hansen to deliver the application within 84 days of the agreement. However they failed to hand over the app in time and sought three months to complete the project apart from offering a discount of 20 percent on the cost.
Hansen paid the city firm 12,862$ but even then, the firm could not hand over the app nor did they return her money. Based on the complaint, the police have booked a case under sections 406 and 420 r/w 34 of the Indian Penal Code and are investigating.
