On the occasion, Care Hospitals Nampally, organised an awareness walk at Charminar, which was attended by field level workers, doctors and local public representatives.
“Better monitoring of kidney health not only reduces the incidence of serious kidney ailments but also decrease the impact of kidney disease on several consequent health problems, said Dr. Shaista Hussaini, senior nephrologist from the hospital. Syed Kamran Husain, HCOO, Care Hospitals, Nampally, former Indian bodybuilding coach, Mir Mohtesham Ali Khan and others were present.
The SLG Hospitals, Nizampet conducted a talk on kidney care, featuring nephrologists, Dr. P Vijay Varma and renal transplant surgeon Dr. Sivaraj Manoharan.

In a virtual summit on ‘Kidney Health and Dialysis Care’ organised by NephroPlus, experts said that every year, nearly 2.2 lakh patients with End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) are added to the existing disease burden of kidney diseases. Noted nephrologist, Dr Vivekananda Jha, highlighted the concept of interdisciplinary care in kidney disease, which is associated with improved health outcomes.
