Hyderabad: One killed after car crashes into median at Vanasthalipuram
Sources said the driver Gautham, who was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol, lost control of the car and first hit a traffic signal pole and then crashed into the road median.
Hyderabad: In a freak mishap, one person was killed when a rashly driven car crashed into a road median at Hasthinapuram in Vanasthalipuram here on Saturday morning.
Sources said the driver Gautham, who was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol, lost control of the car and first hit a traffic signal pole and then crashed into the road median. With the same speed the car jumped on to the other side.
They were proceeding from the Sagar Ring Road towards Vanasthalipuram when the incident occurred at 4 am.
Due to the impact, one Sandeep who was seated on the back seat in the car suffered grievous injuries and died.
The Vanasthalipuram police are investigating.
While Gautham was taken into custody, another person travelling in the car went absconding.
