Hyderabad: The President of South Central Railway Women’s Welfare Organization (SCRWWO), Jayanthi Mallya, distributed two sets of school uniforms to the students of Vidya Vihar High School, Chilkalguda, Secunderabad, on Friday. Several other members of the organisation, including treasurer, Usha Jain, were also present at the event.
Vidya Vihar High School is a unit run by SCRWWO, which has been instrumental in imparting quality education and values to children belonging to railway families as well as the society.
Speaking on the occasion, Jayanthi Mallya said that the school uniform had remained unchanged for many years and the need to introduce a brighter attire was discerned. She said the new uniforms will bring freshness and motivate the students to carry themselves with confidence and smile apart from discipline. She also appreciated all the school staff for their relentless support and rendering help to the students.
The programme was conducted duly following Covid protocols such as wearing masks, observing social distancing and use of sanitisers, a press release said.
