Hyderabad: The auspicious occasion of Sri Rama Navami was celebrated with devotion and grandeur at Hare Krishna Golden Temple, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, on Sunday.
As part of the festival, the presiding deities, Sri Radha Govinda, appeared in the divine forms of Sri Sita Ramachandra and were beautifully adorned with new silk garments, fresh vibrant flowers, and exquisite jewellery.
The celebrations commenced in the morning with a traditional Sri Sitarama Kalyanotsavam, amidst sacred Vedic hymns and soul-stirring bhajans and kirtans by devotees. In the evening, the Maha Pallaki Utsavam was held in a grand manner.
A spiritually uplifting pravachan was delivered by Sri Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa Prabhuji, President of Hare Krishna Movement, Hyderabad. He captivated the audience with profound insights into the divine life and teachings of Lord Sri Rama. His enlightening words emphasized the timeless principles of Dharma (righteousness), duty, and self-discipline, which were exemplified in Lord Rama’s life.
Similar spiritually uplifting festivities were also conducted at the upcoming iconic Hare Krishna Heritage Tower Project in Narsingi. All devotees attending the festival were served a sumptuous prasadam feast, including both lunch and dinner.
