Hyderabad: The GHMC’s directorate of Enforcement Vigilance and Disaster Management (EVDM) on Tuesday penalised commercial establishments for using flashing lights and non-static illumination in an advertisement element. A store located in Banjara Hills Road No 1 was penalised with Rs 50,000 for an illegal advertisement element displayed on the store.
The penalty was imposed following a complaint from a citizen who tweeted the video and tagged the Central Enforcement Cell of EVDM seeking action. The use of flashing lights or non-static illumination is a violation of the advertisement policy.
Meanwhile, continuing its special drive against dilapidated buildings, the GHMC on Tuesday demolished two dilapidated buildings. Action was initiated on buildings located in Chudi Bazar and Shastripuram.
