Mancherial: National best teacher award recipient Madipelli Bhadraiah (76) died while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Hyderabad on Saturday. Forest Minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy, paying tributes, said the district had lost an eminent teacher in the passing of Bhadraiah.
Indrakaran placed a wreath and consoled his family members on Sunday. He conveyed condolences to the kin. He said that Bhadraiah was a committed teacher and had rendered outstanding contributions to the field of education.
Litterateurs and the teaching fraternity recalled their association with Bhadraiah. He won the national best teacher award in 1997 for his contribution to the field. He bagged the district best teacher award in 1983 and state best award in 1988, besides authoring 27 books in Telugu. He was honored by Potti Srirramu Telugu University in 2012.
