Telangana inter students to get five minutes grace period to enter exam hall

Hyderabad: Students appearing for the intermediate public examinations commencing Wednesday will be extended five minutes of grace time to enter the centres.
Exams will begin at 9 am and students will be permitted inside the centres till 9.05 am.
This is aimed at reducing stress and anxiety among students who turn up late due to traffic and other issues.
“Like last year, five minutes of grace time will be given to students to enter the exams. However, students should reach the centres at least 30 minutes before exam commencement,” said S Krishna Aditya, Secretary Telangana Board of Intermediate Education.
A total of 9,97,075 students, including 4,89,126 first year and 5,07,949 second year, registered for exams that will be conducted from February 25 to March 18 in 1,495 centres set up across the State.
As many as 28,500 invigilators, 1,495 each chief superintendents and departmental officers, 75 flying and 200 sitting squads have been deployed.
This time, 20 spot evaluation camps have been set up and evaluation of Sanskrit answer scripts will begin on February 26, he said.
Hall tickets have already been hosted on the college’s login. Students can directly download from the Board’s website or obtain from the MeeSeva Centres.
Candidates have been urged to verify correctness of their name, medium, subjects appearing etc., indicated in their hall tickets. If any discrepancy is noticed, candidates should get it rectified by the college principal concerned.
Meanwhile, the Board, in association with the Health department, is extending free counselling via Telemanas to students to help them overcome any issue related to stress, strain, tension, anxiety, nervousness etc. Students have been advised to contact the toll free number: 14416.
