Kalapather police quiz two in businessman’s murder case

Hyderabad: The Kalapather police picked up two persons for questioning for their alleged involvement in the murder of a businessman on Thursday.
The victim Syed Mukarram, (45) was murdered in broad day light at the Chunne ki Bhatti road under Kalapather police station limits in the old city on Thursday evening.
The victim previously had some issues with the two suspects and cases were booked against the victim and the suspects at Kamatipura police station last year on different instances.
On Thursday, Mukarram was standing in front of his house when he was stabbed by a man while another person, who is suspected to be a family member of the attacker, helped him. The police picked up the duo and are questioning them, source said.
The murder took place a few yards away from Al Yaseen Hotel where earlier two persons were killed in separate cases. Though a police picket is regularly posted here, however, it was not there on Thursday, locals pointed out.
Sources said that the murder of Mukarram is result of enmity between two families going on for the last couple of years. The police had tried to resolve the issues between them but their attempts did not yield any result.
In 2019, a youngster Muqtar Ali was killed by a group of persons which was also a result of enmity going on between two local families.
