These visits aimed to give students a real-world understanding of scientific research. They explored high-end research laboratories, interacted with scientists, observed ongoing experiments, and participated in hands-on science activities. The sessions were designed to bridge classroom learning with real-time research exposure.

The Kalpana She for STEM program, implemented in 47 degree colleges, is focused on encouraging young women to explore and excel in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields. Through mentoring, career guidance, and exposure visits like these, the program aims to build scientific curiosity, confidence, and long-term motivation among students.
